Triathlon & Run Coaching

Hi, I’m Michelle — I have 15 years of experience in the fitness industry, health and fitness has become my passion. While striving to be the best athlete I can be, I have devotion for helping others find their why and achieve their goals.

I’ve always been passionate about motivating others to live healthy lives, reach their physical goals, and I always have a positive attitude. Coaching has long been a dream of mine, but the timing never felt quite right until the end of 2024. I truly believe everything happens for a reason—when it’s meant to, and with the right people. I’m excited and grateful to be working alongside Jamie on this new adventure.

When I’m not training or coaching, you’ll usually find me reading or binge-watching Netflix shows. Some random facts about me are I love history, especially American history, family means a lot to me and I enjoy spending time with them and I love plants. Although, my green thumb could be better.

Strength & Nutrition + Run Coaching

Keep Fit

Hi! I’m Jamie — trainer, nutrition coach, and run coach. I’m one of the founders of Empire State Endurance. My goal is to combine my skills and experience to help athletes, active adults, and runners train smarter, fuel better, and reach their goals.

Sports have always been a big part of my life. I grew up as a competitive figure skater, where I learned the discipline and resilience that come with working toward long-term goals. After stepping away from the ice, I found a new passion in running and endurance training.

As my training evolved, I became increasingly interested in the role nutrition plays in performance and recovery. That interest led me to become a nutrition coach so I could better support athletes both in and out of training.

Today I’m a strength, nutrition, and run coach with Empire State Endurance. I enjoy helping athletes train smarter, fuel well, and build confidence through practical, sustainable coaching that fits into real life.

Coach Shawn Kelly

Hi, I’m Shawn — I was always active as a kid — I loved riding my bike, playing baseball and played basketball through high school. Through my life experience, I found the love for biking and joined a cycling team, Team Brewery Ommegang, that I remain active in today.

After school I found myself too busy for sports, and over time I gained weight and lacked energy. Thirteen years ago I knew the time had come to take action to become healthy and active again.  I bought a bike and started going out on trail rides with friends. Every week I looked forward to those rides and the weight started coming off. Over the course of a year I lost 50 pounds and fell in love with cycling.

My son caught the cycling bug as well and motivated me to get NICA certified to assistant coach his high school mountain biking team.  I enjoyed working with the kids and seeing my son progress as a cyclist. I also joined a cycling team, Team Brewery Ommegang, that I remain active in today. Over the last year several friends were training for their first tri and asked for my help with the cycling component. I truly enjoyed the process of helping others learn about cycling, how to choose a bike and how to maintain their bike. It inspired me to work towards my cycling coaching certification.

The last thirteen years have been filled with countless cycling miles, hundreds of races over the northeast and at least sixteen bike purchases! I am super excited to start my next cycling chapter as part of the Empire State Endurance team and look forward to helping others that want to learn how to become a cyclist from the ground up.
