Inside Our Running & Triathlon Community
At Empire State Endurance, we believe supporting athletes goes beyond training plans. Throughout the year, we host workshops designed to help our athletes develop skills that support both performance and overall well-being.
These workshops give athletes the opportunity to learn from experts, connect with the community, and gain tools that make training and everyday life easier.
Topics vary throughout the year and may include:
Yoga and mobility for recovery and injury prevention
Mental health and mindset for endurance athletes
Self-defense and personal safety
Bike maintenance and basic repair skills
Strength training for runners and triathletes
Our goal is to create opportunities for athletes to learn, grow, and feel supported both inside and outside of their training.

Join Empire State Endurance and Master Kyle Phillips of Nisky Martial Arts for a practical, hands-on self-defense class designed specifically for runners. You'll learn simple, effective techniques to increase your awareness, improve your confidence, and prepare for real-world situations—without needing any prior martial arts experience.
This class focuses on prevention first, situational awareness, and easy-to-remember self-defense skills that every runner can use.
Whether you're training for your next race or simply enjoy getting outside, this is an opportunity to become a stronger, more confident runner both physically and mentally.
