Inside Our Running & Triathlon Community

At Empire State Endurance, we believe supporting athletes goes beyond training plans. Throughout the year, we host workshops designed to help our athletes develop skills that support both performance and overall well-being.

These workshops give athletes the opportunity to learn from experts, connect with the community, and gain tools that make training and everyday life easier.

Topics vary throughout the year and may include:

  • Yoga and mobility for recovery and injury prevention

  • Mental health and mindset for endurance athletes

  • Self-defense and personal safety

  • Bike maintenance and basic repair skills

  • Strength training for runners and triathletes

Our goal is to create opportunities for athletes to learn, grow, and feel supported both inside and outside of their training.

Beginner Masters Swim Meet Prep

Saturday, May 9, 2026

This workshop is designed for curious beginner cyclists who want to train smarter, ride stronger, and stay safer on the road. We’ll break down Functional Threshold Power (FTP) testing, explaining what it is, why it matters, and how to use your results to guide your training.

We’ll also dive into structuring effective bike training blocks, helping you build endurance, increase power, and avoid burnout with a clear, progressive plan. You’ll learn how to interpret and apply power data to maximize performance and track improvement over time.

Finally, we’ll cover essential road safety skills, including situational awareness, positioning, and best practices for riding confidently in real-world conditions.

Whether you're training for an event or just looking to level up your riding, this workshop will give you the tools and knowledge to ride with purpose and confidence.
